Where can you discover six breweries, two distilleries, kombucha, wine, and mead all in one location? Rancho Cordova Barrel District has it all!

We first discovered J.J. Pfister Distilling Co., one of the Barrel District tenants, at 105 Noshery, Randy & Lisa Peters former bistro in Downtown Roseville. With vodka, gin, whiskey, rum, bourbon, and brandy that can rival any national brand, we were instant fans of this local family business. Complete with a restaurant, tasting room, and gift shop, a trip to their visitor center should definitely be on your list.

With Strad Meadery, the Rancho Cordova and the Sacramento region officially have a brick-and-mortar meadery. What is a mead, you ask? Mead is a wine that uses honey as a fermentable sugar. Strad uses Sacramento wildflower honey with several crisp flavors and concoctions, including traditional nectar mead, apricot, pomegranate, cherry, cranberry and strawberry nectar meads. And did we mention that it’s gluten-free?

So, the next time you have several palates to appease, or just want to try something new, take 50 and get off for a visit to the Barrel District!
