PLACER LAND TRUST

RECREATION ON THE TRAIL

Hit the trails with Placer Land Trust as part of your Wine & Ale Trail experience! Placer Land Trust works to protect the natural wonders and agricultural heritage that make this area special, so that future generations can enjoy it now and forever.

Pick your pleasure — hiking, photography, birding, camping and more — there’s a Placer Land Trust preserve or activity that’s right for you. Sign up for a docent-led hike, or venture out to a public preserve on your own (see Canyon View Preserve on map). To round out a perfect day, enjoy a picnic with one of our Dogface butterfly-themed wine collaborations with Lone Buffalo Vineyards. Placer Land Trust permanently protects the California dogface butterfly’s habitat along the Bear River in North Auburn. Twenty percent of the proceeds from each bottle helps Placer Land Trust to protect natural and agricultural lands in Placer County.
